Ibiza season opening 2024 – the best openings to celebrate the new season!

The best beach clubs, restaurants, clubs and events that you as a newcomer or seasoned Ibiza local shouldn’t miss to usher in the new season in style!

When do the beach clubs open in Ibiza?

In Ibiza, the weather in April is usually already beautiful and therefore many popular beach clubs open again this month. Below are some of our favorite spots to enjoy the first rays of sunshine this spring.

Casa Jondal, Cala Jondal

Are you looking for a stylish beach club where you can enjoy not only luxurious sunbeds and a laid-back atmosphere, but also exquisite seafood? Then you have come to the right place at Casa Jondal. This beach club is tasteful and very contemporary. A place to be seen, but in a relaxed way. Casa Jondal is located on, you guessed it, the idyllic bay of Cala Jondal. The luxurious yachts set the tone whilst you enjoy an aperitif in one of Ibiza’s most beautiful settings. If the moment allows, be sure to order a cocktail as well.

Chiringuito, Cala Gracioneta

This bohemian dream is located on the shore of the beautiful bay of Cala Gracioneta. A quiet spot tucked away on the coast of San Antonio. The bay is small, which makes for a nice and cozy atmosphere. It also makes Cala Gracioneta very popular among families, as you can practically keep an eye on the little ones from your beach bed. Furthermore, the shore is shallow and due to the sheltered bay there are no waves. The restaurant has a casual atmosphere and several terraces with bohemian chic decor. Be served on one of the fancy daybeds, or treat yourself to delicious dishes with choices of Mediterranean classics, Spanish favorites or simply order a good burger. At the tables, shaded by pine trees, you’ll have stunning sea views.

Aiyanna, Cala Nova

A cheerful, relaxed atmosphere and laid-back luxury which fits perfectly into the overall picture, Cala Nova is in fact one of the few surf spots in Ibiza! Welcome to Aiyanna. Located in the beautiful north, with breathtaking panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea, and of the many passionate surfers. The beach club is “barefoot chic,” offering a healthy menu with a nod to Eastern Mediterranean influences. All ingredients are organic and from their very own garden. There are also regular performances and a daily wellness program with yoga followed by a healthy breakfast. Aiyanna, the little sister of the already famous Amante, is definitely worth a visit this spring. They are already open.

When do the clubs open in Ibiza?

Opening parties kick off the new season and are historic events each and every year. The following iconic clubs open the new season starting in early April.

Akasha

Akasha is one of the newest clubs, located in San Carlos, in the legendary hippie haven of Las Dalias. The club first opened its doors in November 2021. Akasha’s idea is to make every night feel not only like a party but also like a ceremony. The inclusive atmosphere makes everyone feel connected and welcome. Akasha is open almost all year. As such, it is a favourite among locals, and for good reason. Opening: 17 February.

 

 

Other Clubs

The old familiar clubs also reopen as of the end of April. Pacha is kicking off the season on April. 

Ushuaïa opens in April 27th and promises to be a sensation including lasers, flamethrowers, stage performers, acrobats and much more. After this, you can head straight to Hï to dance into the early hours with the world’s best DJs including Adam Beyer, Black Coffee, Anfisa Letyago, Mochakk and The Martinez Brothers.

Amnesia opens in May, Layton Giordani and more big techno names. At Eden, the season kicks off on May 9th with a party. DC10 opens on May with old faithful Circoloco and at the iconic club Pikes you can dance again starting on April. Ibiza Rocks opens May 3 with an open-air venue and the hottest artists and DJs. O Beach Ibiza opens May 3 and April 26th the soft opening.

 

When do the restaurants open in Ibiza?

Ibiza’s high season starts in May and ends in mid-October, but many restaurants open before then! The selection of fantastic restaurants in Ibiza continues to grow. We are happy to share with you our perennial and new favorites.

Juntos, Sant Mateo

Juntos first opened in the summer of 2022. The farm-to-table restaurant is a community project, and is located in a beautiful old farmhouse, in picturesque Sant Mateo. There is also a trendy boutique that features a collection of slow fashion, local art and other unique items. The menu changes almost weekly, but expect made-to-order cocktails and delicacies from zero-waste cuisine. Which you can then enjoy in the romantic garden or stylish indoor space.

Opening: open all year round!

Petunia, Cala Carbó

Actually, the spectacular view of Es Vedra is reason enough for a romantic evening out at Petunia. But the boutique hotel also serves delicious dishes with surprising compositions and unusual flavors. There are three restaurants to choose from. Petunia’s philosophy is: Keep it simple and honest. Thus, all ingredients are homegrown, seasonal and therefore extra fresh. Option one is La Mesa d’Es Vedrà. This is Petunia’s main restaurant. A Spanish buffet for breakfast and fine, traditional Spanish dishes for dinner. Los Olivos is Petunia’s second restaurant, right next to the pool. Authentic seafood, local vegetables, traditional dishes and pizza for lunch. Finally, La Mirada Rooftop. Here you can enjoy raw dishes such as ceviche, marinara, tartare and the tastiest cocktails from the cocktail bar with insane views.

Opening: Open all year round

Terra Masia, Santa Eulalia

Terra Masia is Ibiza’s largest organic farm, a unique paradise with 56 acres of Mediterranean landscape. You can visit this farm, nestled in the Santa Eulalia countryside, to shop seasonal organic produce, but we recommend stopping by one of the dinner nights! Here you can enjoy the tastiest local specialties over a glass of organic wine. The wooden tables with white linen, colored cushions and candles complete the picture. You can also visit for breakfast or lunch, as they have the concept of “taste the farm”, every weekday between 10:00 – 14:00.

Opening: The “farm to table” dinner nights are yet to be announced. For breakfast, lunch and to shop organic products you are welcome all year round from Monday to Friday from 08:00 – 16:00.
